SJVN Silver Jubilee Merit Scholarships for FY 2018-19 are being awarded to 250 meritorious student

SJVN under its CSR initiative - ‘SJVN Silver Jubilee Merit Scholarship Scheme’ will be awarding scholarships to 250 meritorious students of class 12th from the states of its operations
for financial year 2018-19. SJVN Foundation will be awarding scholarships to 147 meritorious students of Himachal Pradesh in a function scheduled to be held at Hotel Peter Hoff, Shimla on 06th of January 2019. The
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court has kindly consented to grace the occasion.
In addition to this, projects of SJVN in other states namely Uttarakhand, Bihar and Maharashtra will also be awarding remaining Merit Scholarships from their respective
offices. The selected students will be awarded with scholarship cheques amounting to
Rs 24,000/- for one year. These meritorious students of class 12th are being selected from CBSE, ICSE and State Board schools from the states of SJVN’s operations. Thereafter, these selected
students are paid a scholarship of Rs 2,000/- per month till completion of their course. Till date SJVN has awarded
1387 merit scholarships under this scheme.
SJVN undertakes its CSR and Sustainability initiatives through SJVN Foundation. The Foundation undertakes various initiatives under six verticals namely Health and Hygiene, Education and Skill Development,
Infrastructure and Community Development, Sustainable Development, Promotion and preservation of local culture, heritage and sports and Assistance during Natural Calamities & Disasters.
