Devsari HEP with capacity of 194 MW is located on river Pindar, a tributary of river Alaknanda on Ganga basin, in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The project is designed as Run of the River project and has the potential to generate 556.27 MU of electricity in a 90% dependable year.
A Memorandum of Understanding for execution of project was signed with the Government of Uttarakhand on November 21, 2005.

The Devsari Hydroelectric Project involves financing of the project on a 70:30 debt-equity ratio. The estimated cost of the project at December, 2019 price level is Rs1387.37crores.
